Privacy Policy
CartPatt is a shared grocery list app for families, operated by an independent developer. This policy explains what data CartPatt collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Questions? Email samsther987@gmail.com.
Information We Collect
- Account information. Your email address and a nickname (display name), provided when you sign in with Google or create an account with email and password. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth.
- Your content. Shopping list items, purchase history (what was checked off and when), and your family group membership.
CartPatt does not show ads, does not use third-party analytics or tracking, and does not sell your data. We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or any data beyond what is listed above.
The cartpatt.com website (separate from the app) uses privacy-friendly, cookieless visitor analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies, does not track you across sites, and is not linked to your CartPatt account.
How We Use Information
Your data is used only to make the app work:
- Keeping your family's shared shopping list in sync
- Showing purchase history and buying-pattern statistics
- Showing a household status summary in the home-screen widget
The widget summary is stored locally on your device and never leaves it.
Who Can See Your Data
List items and purchase history are visible to the members of your family group — that sharing is the purpose of the app. Your data is not shared with anyone else.
Service Providers
CartPatt relies on two service providers to operate: Supabase (hosted backend and database) and Google (sign-in only). They process your data solely to provide the service, and they protect it to the same or equal standard as described in this policy. No other third party receives your data.
Data Retention
Your data is kept for as long as your account exists, so your family's shared history keeps working.
Account & Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time by emailing samsther987@gmail.com from the email address on your account. We will delete your account information, list items, and purchase history, and confirm by reply. You may also withdraw consent to this policy the same way; note the app cannot function without the data described above.
Children
CartPatt is a family app, but accounts are intended for adults and teens managing household shopping. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
